What we do

Consultations and Garden Plans

Every garden season starts with a plan. We feel that designing your vegetable beds is one of the most important parts to being successful. Through a consultation, we take the time to get to know your family’s needs and wants to create a harmonious vegetable bed your family will be able to eat all season from.

By creating a design, we can easily plan our companion plants and host plants that will help your garden be as healthy as possible.

Coaching Sessions

Through our consultation, we get to know you and your garden journey. We offer coaching sessions for those gardeners that want to get the most out of their garden. Whether you just started, only have a few containers, or have a mini urban farm, we meet our clients where they are. We create a plan after each session that is tailored to your families’ specific needs.

gARDEN Reboot

Whether it’s a new raised garden bed space or a space you’re refreshing, we can help you get started. With a Garden Reboot session, we provide soil amendments, planting your transplants, direct sowing seeds and even installing vertical elements for support or trellising needs depending on the plants you are growing. This service takes out the guess work for the basic foundation of your garden and we highly recommend pairing it with a custom garden plan to keep you involved every step of the way.

Harvest or tending sessions

We believe that garden maintenance is essential for a healthy garden to produce the food we want it to. We offer garden visits that cater to your gardens needs. That includes pruning, trellis training, pest and disease diagnosis and potential treatment, and harvesting the abundance of food that your garden can grow. We recommend this service when plants have been transplanted or are at least 2 ft tall. We’ve seen this service be most successful in groupings of 3-6 sessions for beginning gardeners or intermediate gardeners who want to take their garden to the next level.

Preserve your harvest with a Preservation Session

  • Canning

Canning your own homegrown food is a wonderful way to provide healthy food all year round to your family. Just getting food into the jar and getting it to seal does NOT make it safe. Instead following approved canning recipes will then give you safe standardized shelf stable foods. I can help you learn waterbath canning!

  • Pickling

Pickling extends the shelf life of different foods and provides a variety of different and delicious flavors. Pickled fruits retain their natural antioxidants which are often lost in the cooking process. Refrigerator pickles are easy to learn and tasty too!

  • Dehydrating

Dehydrating can provide portable edible snacks, reduce food waste and refill your spice cabinet. You don’t need anything special. As long as you have an oven, you can dehydrate fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Growing herbs adds benefits to your gardens ecosystem and a sensory experience, don’t forget that they can be preserved too!
