Meet your Mentor

Aerin

My love of plants started in my mother’s extensive herb garden. As an artist, she incorporated beautiful combinations of color , texture and sensory experiences for us to play in. My formal education is a Masters in Historical Archaeology specifically Landscape Archaeology and I am finishing a Masters in Gardening. As a certified dirt specialist, it was an easy transition into gardening when a desire to feed my family healthy nutrient dense food inspired me. With 10 years of gardening experience, container and raised bed, and herbwifery, I began to focus on sharing my knowledge with others and helping my community become more food secure. I love teaching people the magic the garden holds for our inner soul. And now I, just like those before me, incorporate creative and beautiful spaces for clients that showcase color, texture and a sensory experience while growing a lot of food.

our Approach

create a mini ecosystem

A complimentary site visit is best to understand the landscape, the soil and how the ecosystem is currently existing, we take time to understand our clients wants and needs. To learn what really motivates them to transform their space and incorporate food into their landscape. From our perspective, it is important to grow what you love to eat and involve the whole family while bettering the environment you live in.

After that first visit, you can expect a garden plan to be drawn up and a suggested proposal for implementation and plantings. Pollinators and bugs are essential for a healthy backyard ecosystem and are top of the priority list. Soil amendments, seedlings and transplant numbers, really logistics that we take care of for you.

This way moving forward with your garden and nourishing your family and soul becomes simple.

dream bravely

Dream big and dream bravely. By incorporating edible flowers and healthy soil, the garden becomes a magical place that not only provides a bounty of food for your family, but it becomes a place to connect with your soul. We strive to incorporate a holistic approach to your garden called spirit gardening, especially through our mentor program.

The profound healing power of the garden can reduce blood pressure, stress, inflammation and anxiety levels, not to mention the deep connection you have with your garden. Through a process called spirit gardening, we encourage, explain, and teach the overwhelming healing nature of the garden that you are probably intuitively doing already!

We are all looking at mental health benefits in our every day life. And we want to show you how simple the garden is as a place of healing.
